From a past overshadowed by challenges, we navigated our early years within prison's confines. Yet, driven by introspection and an unwavering commitment to change, we united to redefine our path. Today, as dedicated family men, we are the proud pillars behind MacroBites, a venture that embodies our vision: "To inspire and motivate through ethic and excellence." Our mission is clear: "To promote health and well-being through mental health, physical health, and nutrition." Our journey is not just a tale of personal transformation but a testament to our unwavering dedication to nurturing and empowering our community, all while staying true to our vision, mission, and values.
David Lewis. President
After spending most of his early 20s in and out of prison for selling drugs, David Lewis turned his life around in a major way. Following his release from a 3-and-a-half-year incarceration in 2013, David has worked his way up in the restaurant industry, from dishwashing at a country club to in a few short years, general managing a fast-casual restaurant. He has a passion for fitness and is a NASM certified personal trainer. He prides himself on being an active and involved father to his 3 beautiful children Chey, Prince, and Ayesha, and a dedicated husband to his wife Kelly Lewis. He plays piano and recently published his first memoir/self-help book: Adapt to Win.
Jarrette Atkins. CEO
Jarrette Atkins began his culinary learning at a young age, entering the workforce at 14 years old. He worked in the kitchen at a retirement home doing general cleaning, washing dishes, and picking up on the resident chefs’ techniques and talents. After high school, Jarrette continued his culinary training and workforce experience at a variety of different restaurants, including fast casual, casual dine-in, full service, and fine dining restaurants. As an adult Jarrette developed a passion for health and fitness which places a large emphasis on nutrition. Armed with culinary prowess and a focus on health and nutrition, Jarrette continues his journey through Macrobites.
Fritz Georges. Sous Chef
The son of proud Hatian parents who immigrated to the United States when he was a child, Fritz is the youngest of a large close-knit family. After a rough childhood running the streets, in and out of jail, Fritz got his life back on track working in the construction industry, working his way up from a laborer to a site foreman. A loving father to his son Elijah, and a rock that can always be counted on, Fritz puts family, loyalty, and the community at the top of his values.
